PHTA Helpful information
Where you train - Regent's College
Our main course centre is Regent's College, London. For other venue
arrangements please contact us.

Graduate Support - What happens after the course
In the first year, students practise their growing skills on colleagues, friends,
family and their peer support group. During the second year of training students
are encouraged to do voluntary counselling - for extra experience - with support
groups, and charitable counselling organisations. Guidance is provided by PHTA.
After graduation, a course like this can lead to a private practice, partnership and
group practice in alternative health centres, and in the commercial world. Students
are guided onto the Referrals Register of the General Hypnotherapy Standards
Council (incorporating the General Hypnotherapy Register),
the National Council of Psychotherapists and the National Council for Hypnotherapy.
As PHTA has been providing nationally accredited up to date training in
psychotherapy and hypnotherapy since 1987, we are well qualified in advising
students of the opportunities to develop new or existing careers. Ongoing support
and guidance is available from PHTA following completion of training.
Train again with our dedicated division - EFTTA
PHTA has established the Emotional Freedom Techniques Training Academy
to serve those therapists with a specific interest in Meridien Energy Therapy,
the technique developed by Gary Craig in America. There is a link on this page
to take you to the EFFTA web site. Students and Graduates of PHTA are entitled to train
with EFTTA at preferential rates.
